Taxidermy work. Guides don't normally turn lips and ears or salt skins. The taxidermist in Christchurch will do this plus salt, dry and pack hides, skulls, antlers and horns, do the documentation and ship to your taxidermist in the U.S.

Taxidermist will also mount all animals and ship to you within twelve months. Expediting fees of approx $600 to $800US for each animal which has about a 4 month turn around.

You will leave the USA on a Saturday but due to travel time and crossing the date line you will arrive in New Zealand early on a Monday morning.

Day 1 - Tuesday
Breakfast on plane, arrive Auckland early morning after a 12-hour flight from LAX or SFO either transfer to NZ303 an International 737 flight to Christchurch or, clear Immigration/customs and pick up firearms licence from NZ police in Auckland. Transfer to domestic terminal and fly 1 hour 20 minutes to Christchurch where you will be met and taken to taxidermist to have a hunt briefing followed by a city tour and lunch. Then checkin with Air Chatham by 12pm, fly two hours to the island where you are met and transferred to first nights accommodation, sight in rifles and or bows.

Day 2 thru 7 - Wednesday-Monday 6 full days hunting, The hunt itinerary is totally weather dependant as your hunt includes either flying or boating to the remote Pitt Islands along with this we also seek calm seas for our half days charter boat fishing.

Day 8 - Tuesday
Pack fish and trophy heads transfer to the airport then fly two hours back to Christchurch. Visit taxidermist, go shopping (if time permits), driven to airport farewell drink (if time permits), fly to Auckland, then on to LAX or SFO, crossing the date line and arriving LAX or SFO midday on that same date, catch connecting flight, and home that evening.
